It’s that day of the week again! We made it through another week and now there is nothing but the pure optimism of the weekend stretched out in front of us. I’m behind on the Blogtember challenge but a girls night out and real life got in the way of blogging this week. I don’t want to say I didn’t miss being in my little corner of the internet, but it was totally worth it to experience a new restaurant, bond with some new and old friends and just spend some time with my two main men at home. I fully intend on catching up next week so prepare for some double whammy’s! On that note, here are the Friday links!
Closet-I stumbled upon the fashion blog, Happily Grey last week and it has become a quick favorite. I’m loving her outfits and overall style and I know you guys will too. This particular outfit is just another reason I can’t wait till the season has completely clicked. Animal print flats, mixed with a grey cashmere sweater and dark denim has my wheels turning. I feel like I have most of these pieces in my closet, now it’s just about trying to pull it off as well as her! PS. really loving the grey and brown combination I’ve been spotting lately…
Palette-These Peanut Butter Cup Ice-Cream sandwiches may be the best of two greatest world’s ever. An ice-cream sandwich is one of my favorite treats, but if you know me at all, you know that Reeses’s is my first and only true love. When I spotted this, my mouth immediately started drooling. I glanced over the recipe (as I often do before even considering making it) and this one looks relatively simple. Can we have a quick applause for the Kitchen-Aid ice cream attachment? What did we do before it?
Kiddo-Ollie is teething and I’m convinced that he’s grumpy on a regular basis because he’s too smart for his own good. Clearly aware of exactly what he wants to communicate, without the ability to do so has made for quite the grunter and this mommy doesn’t appreciate it. Therefore, we have started implementing sign language. I’ve heard from many people who have had success in this endeavor and I’m excited to see how quickly my little kiddo will pick it up. I’m eager for him to learn another way to tell me he wants more without whining. This blog touches on the same thing (and by the way is a really rad mommy blogger to boot!) Any other mom’s out there had any luck with this?
Space-Apartment Therapy strikes again by showcasing this delicate and textured apartment. It just goes to show you that any space, no matter how big or small, with the right design can make you swoon. I don’t typically describe my style as mid-century but there were a lot of color combinations and clean lines that I was completely inspired by!
