There has been countless advice that I have either decided to listen to or dismiss, advice that has either served me well or really didn’t make much difference. Advice from parents, grandparents, friends and siblings…all of which have probably helped define my life in some shape or form. But I find myself really resonating with a quote I heard a few years back. It’s by Maya Angelou and I think it really is spot on.

At the end of the day, it’s important to be considerate of one another’s feelings and it’s our reactions and thoughtfulness that go the distance with other people, not your own successes or title.
